Fact # 4 – Jelly Bean

A koala in a tree holding her joey with text that reads: Save the koala September Fact # 04 At birth a baby koala is the size of a jelly bean. That's tiny

    Katrina says:

SAVE the Koala September FACT 4.

Marsupials are marvellously amazing! Instead of a long pregnancy with an umbilical cord, the tiny little pink joey is born after just 35 days, the size of a jelly bean.

Blind, no ears, stubby legs and arms, no claws or fur, this little miracle climbs up mums stomach and into the pouch. There, joey attaches to a teat to drink milk and stay safe and warm inside mum’s pouch.

    Can you believe it?
