Koala Gardens 2025 Wild Koala Day Poetry Competition
I made a walk in a beautiful park
It was already getting dark
Suddenly I heard someone singing behind me,
I turned, and what did I see?
A koala came along the way
With a little backpack he had on his back.
And I said: Hey, please wait, where are you going?
It’s already late!
He smiled and replied:
I’m going to Koala Gardens, there is my home
And I never will be alone!
My name is Valentine and I hope, you are fine!
He waved to me and I smiled,
So happy to meet you,
Sweet Valentine!

Wild Koala Day poems
Each year, Koala Gardens hosts events for Wild Koala Day. One event is a competition open to people all around the world. The prizes usually include the chance to win a wild koala adoption.
Often the competition will involve creating poems, colouring in koala drawings, or making some kind of artwork.
The talent that goes into submission every year shows how amazing koala lovers around the world truly are.
Join the Colony and get involved
You can become part of the Koala Gardens Colony by adopting one of the resident wild koalas. You can also become a Patron, and one level has an adoption option.
